A Kasupe board member since 2008, Tom was a member of the initial PEACE Plan group which travelled to Malawi in 2004, and one of 7 lawyers who in 1975 founded the Newport Beach law firm of Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth. Stradling today employs more than 150 attorneys in 10 offices across California, Colorado, Nevada, and Washington. Tom represents both private clients as well as governmental entities in the areas of real estate, public finance, economic development, bankruptcy and restructuring, housing, and land use. Tom earned a BA from the University of Notre Dame, and graduated with honors in 1973 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. A former Marine fighter pilot, Tom flew the F4 Phantom in over 300 combat missions in Vietnam and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. Tom is an avid golfer and the proud recipient of the iconic Putter Boy trophy awarded by the Pinehurst Resort for his team victory in the 2000 ClubCorp Team Championship .
